One of the driving forces behind SoundTrack was to give artists and music lovers the ability to create custom profiles that really let them show off their style. We've built a few tools to accommodate this and (as our oldest members know) it's taken a few versions to get everything functional and looking good. But because profiles are the foundation of the site, you can expect to more improvements in this area. So make sure to check back frequently and let us know if you have ideas. Here are a few tips on using the tools that are currently available:

Edit Profile: this is where you go to change the content on your profile. You can add pictures, edit personal information, or upload music and videos. Anything you enter here will stay on your profile no matter how you customize the look of your page. So even if you deleted your picture module by mistake, when you added it back, the pictures would re-appear where they belong.

Account Settings: here you can change your custom URL, username, email and privacy preferences. As the site matures we will be adding more of the privacy tools you have come to expect on the web, but for now we have the basics to keep you safe.

Customize: all your visual customizations come from here. You can change your background, fonts, colors and more. To get started with the Customize screen, click 'Enable Preview Mode' so you can see your changes. If you are up for it, use the 'Custom CSS' field to modify the code behind your page. And if you want to reset everything back to the default settings (or if you have an older profile style) click on the 'Default' theme. At the bottom you can choose to 'Save' if you want to come back and finish later or 'Preview' to see how your changes look. Make sure to 'Publish Changes' once you are ready to let everyone else see your work.

Edit Modules: once you click here your profile goes into 'Edit Mode'. You can drag modules around, delete them, and in some cases edit how they look. One of our goals is to give you more control over how these modules display your content, so look forward to seeing more 'Edit' buttons on individual modules. If a module looks odd or isn't working correctly, try deleting it and re-adding it from the 'ADD/REMOVE Modules' list.

Have fun and let us know if you have a question or need some help.

Thanks,

Tiffany
